Setting your Incoming Mail Settings
Open Mozilla Thunderbird Click on Tools, then Account Settings.  On the Account Settings window, Click on Account Actions in the bottom left of the window, then click on Add Mail Account.  This will open a Mail Account Setup window. Fill out the fields for name, email address and password and click Continue.  The mail program will immediately attempt to automatically detect the server, port and security settings for the account, click Stop. Correct the username field to the full email address. Select POP or IMAP, as appropriate, across from the incoming settings. For a POP Account, correct the server names, port numbers, and security settings to the following:  For an IMAP Account, correct the server names, port numbers, and security settings to the following:  Click on Re-Test Configuration. After this has been completed, click on Create Account.  After the username and password have been checked, the account will be created and the Mail Account Setup window will close. Click OK to exit the Account Settings. You are now ready to click Get Mail to test sending and receiving for this account. |
